Equality and equity are often mistakenly seen as synonyms. But God gives all people equality. When we make mistakes out of self involvement or other animal power needs, we create situations where equality is not enough. We have to protect equality. But that’s a minimum. To truly build the kingdom of God, we have to provide equity to offset the many ways we have made access, opportunities and protections so prejudiced and biased towards those in power. As Christian’s we are called to make strides towards equal opportunities through equity using the same grace that God gives us so we can have a relationship with God and a true relationship with others.
